‘Heroic Mother’ Amanda risked her life to save puppies from the fire…

During an early morning response to a house fire in Santa Rosa de Temuco, Chile, firefighters witnessed the unbelievable. A mother dog risked her life to save her puppies from the fire surrounding the burning house, which started because of a car bomb.

The mother dog, Amanda, raced back and forth between the house, putting her 10 day old puppies in the safest place she could find – a firetruck!

She didn’t stop racing back into the fire until all of her puppies were safely away from the fire. The firemen on scene could not believe their eyes. Most people have never seen a dog this smart or this brave!

After rescuing all of her pups from the blaze, Amanda sat down next to them, protecting them with her body. Onlookers called an emergency veterinary service and she and her pups were rushed to the hospital. Aside from one puppy being treated for serious burns, the entire family are alive and well – thanks to the bravery of Amanda!

Nothing in this world is better than a Mother.

A heartwarming story about a great blinded dog Lily.

Blind Great Dane Lily & her kind-hearted canine carer Maddison

Lily, six, was barely a puppy when she was struck down by a bizarre medical condition that caused her eyelashes to grown into her eyeballs, damaging them beyond repair.

It was after this traumatic event that her relationship with seven-year-old Maddison developed as she took her under her wing.

If they are out and about, for the majority of the time Maddison will lead and Lily will walk nearly touching her so she knows where to go. It’s lovely to watch.

With her lack of sight, Lily’s other senses have heightened. They curl up together to go to sleep and they are very vocal with each other.

They were at a shelter, but since their story went viral, they were adopted.

When a human reaches out to an animal with love and gentleness!

Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference.

There is a special beauty when a human reaches out to an animal with love and gentleness! It is awesome!

In the image Jane Goodall ( British primatologist, ethologist, anthropologist and UN Messenger of Peace ) with a baby chimpanzee.

Jane Goodall’s story of a young girl who loved animals and dreamed of going to Africa-and who found a way of making that dream come true-is also one of the great scientific sagas. Goodall’s longstanding study of chimpanzee behavior at Gombe Stream, Tanzania, demonstrating how closely chimpanzees resemble humans-and humans chimpanzees-has caused a revolution in how we understand ourselves.

Words by Jane Goodall:

  • “I wanted to talk to the animals like Dr. Doolittle.”
  • “The most important thing I can say to you – yes, you who are now reading this – is that you, as an individual, have a role to play and can make a difference. You get to choose: do you want to use your life to try to make the world a better place for humans and animals and the environment? Or not?”
  • “We have so far to go to realize our human potential for compassion, altruism, and love.”
  • “Lasting change is a series of compromises. And compromise is all right, as long as your values don’t change.”
  • “The least I can do is speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves.”
